She's looking through a window
For the world and what it means to be
She searches for the answer
For the path of her life's destiny
All the stories all the troubles
All the hearts and faces that she'll meet
As she follows the long road
On the stones of dreams beneath her feet.

As she looks down at her torn hands
At the binds that keep her in this cell
She wishes for a kind place
To escape to and leave this hell.
When the world outside is so open, warm, and free
She won't have to become what the past thinks she should be.
If she wants to be free, she must

Break through the chains that are holding her down
Smash through the door keeping her in the ground
Battle the demons that try and block the way
Know what she wants, who she is inside
Before she can live where she won't have to hide
And fly through the air on the wings of a brand new day.

So she stands there bruised and beaten
In a world of loneliness and lies
No one's hand to hold. Nothing soothes the sting
Except for her tears when she cries.
In the world outside, she can think; she can feel
No one else's eyes there to tell her what's real
She gets her chance to be who she wants to be
She wants to be free

She breaks through the chains, crashes through the door
She's running, not bound by this hell anymore.
She's sailing with the winds of her destiny
She wears the scars as a sign to remind her
The battles are done; her past is behind her
She's fighting all that the world wants her to be.
Now she's free!
